Thanksgiving...

So tomorrow is Thanksgiving!  I'm so happy!  Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it's not as busy as Christmas, so you get a little more time with your family.  Here are some things that I am Thankful for this year:

  • My family who always encourages me and loves me
  • My friends who make me laugh and/or cry--they encourage and love me
  • My faith keeps me strong when I want to give up
  • God is my rock and I am forever his pebbel
  • Jesus dying on the cross for you and me
  • Our soldiers in Iraq and Afgahnistan
  • Our Veterans who have given up so much
  • Our police men and women who keep our daily lives safe
  • The firefighters who save our world from sure disaster
  • Forgiveness, for if there were not forgiveness, this world would be miserable and full of hatred.
  • My cousin Jimmy is home for Thanksgiving--but ships to Afgahnistan in January ===>
  • My family and I have a great relationship and we get along great.
  • My writing ability because it's something I love and I hope to be doing for a very long time
  • Stephenie Meyer because she gave me my start and I will always owe everything to her
  • Robert Pattinson because he's given me so much hope and love and inspiration I can't even begin to explain
  • JoAnne (my writing mentor) because she's never afraid to tell me the truth
  • Leanna Renee Hieber because she has inspired me on a personal level
  • BOOKS! For they keep me alive
This is what I'm thankful for.  What are you thankful for?  Remember--Thanksgiving means so much more than just food and sleeping and football.  Find reason in the season.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

New Moon!

I SAW NEW MOON ON OPENING DAY!!!! 11-20-09 I WAS THERE!!

I can't say much, because I don't want to give anything away, but I will say this: New Moon was a million times better than Twilight.  It was an AMAZING movie!! GO SEE IT!!

You know, I'm kinda left with a feeling of blandness after seeing NM.  I think about how hard Bella worked to save Edward--how hard she ran--and I wonder if I could've done the same thing.  Could I have risked my life to save his?  Could I endure his pain as well as mine own?  I may have just realized that the answer is, if I loved that person as much as Bella loves Edward, then yes.  Otherwise, it's impossible.

Robert Pattinson's American accent is a lot better now--just thought I'd throw that in here.  Also, Rob's in a new movie from Summit Entertainment that's coming soon.  It's called Remember Me.  It looks really good!  I can't wait to see it!  And another movie that's on TV tomorrow, but I can't remember the name of it.  I had never heard of it before.  Something about Hollywood and Dying I think. lol.

Can't wait until June 10th, 2010!  (Eclipse's release date).

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

I remembered something!

So, I just remembered that I was going to tell you guys about riding the horse.  Well, I was going to show you pictures--I don't have much to say.  Here's Gus.

They taught me how to ride all by myself and everything!  It was fun--but I'm so sore!

Hey readers!

This Thursday is my first Power of the Pen Mini-Meet!  I'm so excited!  Wish me luck!
Now, if you're a regular reader, you've probably noticed a few changes around the site.  I've kinda just been playing around with it, so if you see something that you really like, please let me know so I know not to change it.

I don't have much to talk about today, but I really just wanted to post this to try my new signature.  Let me know if you like it!

Sunday= Reading and Writing (and hmwk...)

Hey there dear readers!  Sorry for the lack of posts!  I really haven't had anything to update you on.  My life has been pretty slow.  Except Stephenie Meyer was on Oprah Friday!  Which was AMAZING!  I DVR'ed it!  Oh, and Veterans' Day was Wednesday!  I always love celebrating that!

So, today I think I'm going to go see/ride some horses!  I'm super excited!  I love horses, but it's way to expensive to indulge in lessons or even buying on.  But we have five acres so we would have room for at least a miniture, right? ;)  I'll post pictures if I end up going.

I began reading A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity by Bill O'Reilly and so far it's pretty good and humorous.  (I'm only on the introduction.) My grandpa is a huge O'Reilly fan, so he wants me to read it, too.  But if I'm reading this, it must mean I finished Catching Fire!  And I did, on Friday.  AMAZING BOOK!

Book fair is this week at school, and since I work in the Library during my study hall, I get a 20% discount!  Which means more books for me!! I'm buying like five. :D

I've recently gotten over my Writer's Block, so last night I was very pleased with what I wrote--even though it's the main intro to a character who's a real jerk.

But, alas, I have homework that needs done.  Paraphrasing for the most part--for a report.  But that's taken me a while, but I need to do it.  Science and Health hmwk isn't due until Tuesday, so I suppose I should not worry about it unless I have time to do it...but perhaps I should just get it over with...

I guess that's about it.

Oh wait!  This comes out on DVD in the U.S. on Tuesday!->

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Leanna Renee Hieber makes my day (again) but twice today!

So I got on the computer earlier today and discovered I had a new email on my yahoo email address. For my article for the school newspaper this issue, I decided it'd be cool to do an interview with inspiring people. One of the top people on my list, of course, was Leanna Renee Hieber. So I sent her 14 questions and she replied to them last night, so I received them today. WOW! Her replies, of course, were well written, lovely, and awe inspiring! I can't wait to share them with my section and my editor-in-chief!

But then, Miss Hieber had to go and make this a happy day again, for when I got on blogspot, I saw that she had updated her blog! (Which is a happy occasion anyway...) But...

On April 27th, 2010 the can't-put-it-down series will continue. The eerie, suspenseful, mystery (genre hybrid) romance will be sequel-ed! The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker will have a sequel-- The Darkly Luminous Fight for Persephone Parker!

I'm so excited! (If you can't tell by my big bold words!) Is that an AWESOME cover or what?!?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oprah!

Guess what? So you all know that I'm a HUGE fan of Twilight and the one person who got me started in reading and writing was Stephenie Meyer, author of The Twilight Saga. Well, guess who's going to be on Oprah as her one interview?!? STEPHENIE MEYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, she's going to be on the Oprah Show on Friday, November 13th, 2009. Friday the 13th! I can't wait!

Remember New Moon comes out on November 20th!
In honor of Stephenie Meyer's first HUGE interview, here are some pictures I edited of her. I did NOT take the photos, but I worked with the colors and borders. Hope you like them!

Jinx...

I think I jinxed myself with my costume. I could not sleep last night because all I wanted to do was write! I had all these ideas in my head and I hadn't written all day and I couldn't write because I needed to go to sleep so I wouldn't be dead to the world at school! I went to bed at 9:30. Usually I'm asleep by 10:30. But I wasn't. I didn't fall asleep until nearly midnight--which means only like six hours of sleep...not to mention I was up almost every hour from there out. I'm so tired right now, though, that I'm not feeling too well. But we're having corn chowder, so that makes me happy.

Through all of this, I learned something about myself as a writer. My prime writing time is--you guessed it--at nocturnal hours. Great. Guess when I can't write until A) Weekends B) Breaks and C) I'm a 'professional' and full time writer? Yes! Night time hours!

That sucks.

Anyway, I guess I should get off of here and look over my notes from last night to see where I'm planning to go from this point in my novel. But first, here are three things that make me very happy:

1- House is on tonight!
2- Trauma is on tonight and it looks VERY good!
3- I have no school tomorrow!

Oh! And guess what? I shared my titles with my friend and she picked two of them that she liked, but I'm going to toss around a third one here. Which one's your favorite?

1- Resurrecting Forever
2- Eternity Awaits
3- The Beginning of Forever

So now I must go, dear readers. Have a wonderful and blessed day! And happy NaNoWriMo to those of you participating...which would not be me...

Halloween fun!!

So, my book costume idea didn't work out so well--I couldn't find big enough card board and styrafoam. So...I went to plan B. And wha-la!

And because I know my dad will love me for this, here's my brother and I pulling my dad in a wagon up a hill...
